This CME activity is derived from content presented at the 2026 AANEM Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida. The expert faculty, Drs. Jeffrey Allen, Marinos Dalakas, and Katherine Ruzhansky will first review the pathophysiology of chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy as well as the current standards of care and unmet needs for patients with CIDP. Following, the faculty will examine the current clinical trial data for new and emerging complement inhibitor therapeutics for the long-term management of patients with CIDP. The faculty will then discuss best practices for applying complement inhibitor therapeutics for their potential role when individualizing treatment plans to improve outcomes in patients with CIDP. To conclude, the faculty will present a patient case highlighting best practices for the treatment and management of patients with chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy.
